Healthy Impact Grant - (over $15,000) - To fund projects in excess of $15,000, which improve the health and wellness of people living in the Mat-Su Borough. The next cycle will be with Project Pitches submitted from November 28 to January 6. Project pitches accepted for additional information will submit their full application from January 16 to February 24.
Target Wellness Grant - (up to $15,000) - Grant requests for health and wellness projects, $15,000 or less, benefitting in Mat-Su residents. Organizations must be qualified Alaskan nonprofit 501(c) 3 organizations classified as "not a private foundation" under section 509(a) of the Code.
Mat-Su School, Health, Safety, Nutrition and Fitness Grants - ($1,000) - Eligible applicants include nonprofit private and public schools, and home school organizations serving K-12 students, located physically in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Individuals, regular state programs, and for-profit learning institutions are not eligible to apply for the School Health Grant. Eligible schools are encouraged to apply. $1000 School Health, Safety, Nutrition and Fitness Grants will begin October 7, 2011 and are due by 4:00 p.m. November 18, 2011. Only one application per school will be accepted. All applications must be submitted through the principal of the school.
Healthy Schools Grant Program - Our Healthy Schools Program $5,000 grant application must be submitted before 4:00 p.m. on December 9, 2011."
Sustainability Snapshot Implementation Grant - The 2011 Capacity Building Initiative Sustainability Snapshot Implementation Grant application is available online. Specific Mat-Su Borough nonprofits have been invited to participate. The deadline for submitting Phase I of the application is 5:00 p.m., October 31, 2011. The application and all attachments must be submitted online.
