We desire to work with programs that will promote physical activity for adults and youth. We believe a cohesive effort is needed to promote health and wellness and provide positive venues for recreation throughout the community. For that reason, we have funding opportunities for qualified non-profit 501 (c) 3 organizations that are promoting community health & wellness. The process is as follows:

for the Small Community Grants
Grants are for funding requests up to $5000.00
The process: Usually takes 30-45 days
Completed application received at our office
Verification of documentation
Internal review and evaluation
Recommended for funding approval process
Release of funding to Grantee
Grantee must sign Grant Agreement
Grantee must complete reporting as requested by Mat-Su Health Foundation.
(Reporting will be dependent on time and duration of program)

We desire to work with programs that will promote health, safety, nutrition, and fitness for our schools. In essence, wellness awareness throughout the school community. We believe a cohesive effort is needed to promote health and wellness and provide positive and continuous education in this area. We want to ensure that schools are continuously successful.
Applications deadlines are April for Spring cycle, and September for Fall cycle. Specific dates will be posted on the homepage of this website.

Each school is eligible for 2-$500 grants during the school year. Your school may apply for two grants in the Spring cycle, however, they will not be eligible in the Fall cycle for the given school year.
Once grants have been received for the cycle, the processing time is approximately one (1) month. Please do not continuously call to ask for the funding. We will make every attempt to notify you by e-mail to advise the award, prior to mailing out the checks.
